I had a customer setting up a dredge project that was in State Plane, US Survey foot. They received an xyz that was all in meters, x, y, and z. I manually converted a few points, and it showed up the in the right place in their project. Thats when I realized we could use an easy utility to convert this file. Geodetic list conversion will work, and I now realize that it doesn't require a new project, but it doesn't convert the x and y, only the z. It may be a rare occasion that this is useful but adding it to the EXPORT program seems fairly easy to do. So, the risk vs. reward seems to favor the reward side, at least to me.
Yes it would be nice, but I am just saying you can easily do this conversion in Geodetic List Conversion as a workaround. No need for a new project, but do you really want data in meters in a foot project? Seems confusing to me.
If we do this we should also be able to do other things to XYZ data, X and Y offsets, and maybe Y and conversion feet vs meters, etc.
Yes, by creating a whole new project just to convert one file. Wouldn't it make more sense to add the ability to the export program? it is just a simple conversion.

It would be a good place to add an option in Export to save the customer time.
You can already do this in Project Conversion and Geodetic List Conversion.
